Pulitzer Prize Award-Winning Journalist, Liz Balmaseda has redefined the Latin culture, giving a voice to those children of transplanted cultures. For more than 20 years, she has written about social and cultural issues for stories and columns for the “Miami Herald,” and was honored with the Hispanic Heritage Award for writing excellence. She was also a contributing writer in the book, "Waking Up in America," the memoir of homeless advocate Dr. Pedro Jose Greer Jr. and began working in film in 2000, as an associate producer and writer for HBO's film on jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, "For Love or Country." Her latest book project, “I Am My Father's Daughter,” a memoir of anchorwoman María Elena Salinas, was published by HarperCollins in April 2006. Liz Balmaseda continues to educate and inspire people through her stories and novels.
