Luis Miguel is undoubtedly one of the most important Latin artists in the world.  His career spans over two decades and boasts over 52 million record sales including 120 platinum and six gold records, nine Grammy awards, nine Billboard awards and three World Music awards.  With his debut in the Ranchero genre, he was awarded the 2005 Latin Grammy for "Best Ranchero Album."  His latest album, Mexico en la Piel, stayed at #1 on SoundScan for five consecutive weeks and also went platinum.

LUIS MIGUEL’s 2006 world tour Mexico en la Piel  broke his own record with not only 30 consecutive sold-out performances at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, but also as the most extensive tour of his career: 103 shows throughout the U.S., Mexico, and South America. This tour is one of the top-grossing tours of all time and garnered him the 2006 Latin Billboard Award for "Best Tour of the Year."  In 2007 LUIS MIGUEL released Navidades, which earned him a Grammy nomination for "Best Latin Pop Album."

In 2008 LUIS MIGUEL notched his eighth #1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart with the release of his new studio album Cómplices, giving him the crown for the most #1's in the history of the chart.  In Mexico, the album debuted at #1, selling 320,000 copies within the first few hours of its release, and earning him 4 platinum records.  Three weeks later Cómplices earned Diamond status for selling more than 400,000 copies.  Cómplices also debuts at #10 on Billboard's Top 200, the highest-ranking debut of his US career.  He set out in 2008 on his biggest world tour to date in support of Complices. The U.S leg of the tour kicked off in the fall with sold-out shows throughout the U.S and South America, and will continue in 2009 with numerous stops throughout Mexico and Spain, amongst others.
