After conquering the music world with continued success, Monica is now expanding her talents into a film career. Most recently, Monica was seen on the MTV movie entitled "Love Song." In her first starring role, Monica portrayed a young woman whose ordered life is turned upside down by a New Orleans blues musician.

The Movie featured the original song "What My Heart Says" written by Diane Warren and produced by David Foster. The song, which was performed lived on MTV's "Direct FX" and on "Live with Regis," will be considered for Monica's upcoming solo album with Arista Records in 2001.

Monica became interested in acting when she was offered a small role in the Miramax movie "Boys and Girls" featuring Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Jason Biggs, which was released in the Summer of 2000.
