Spike Lee has established himself as one of Hollywood's most influential
filmmakers in the past decade.
His 1986 debut film, "She's Gotta Have It," earned him
the Prix de Jeunesse at Cannes and set him at the forefront of the
Black New Wave in America Cinema. He has currently completed his
14th film, "Bamboozled."
Lee has also produced and directed numerous music videos and commercials,
and has been involved in documentaries and sports programs, having
completed the Emmy and Oscar nominated documentary, "4 Little
Girls" for HBO, and having received an Emmy for his piece on
Georgetown coach John Thompson for HBO/Real Sports.
